Percy Warner has such a special place in our hearts! It is not only a beautiful place to get out of the city and take a hike or go for a run, but it's also the site where we first said we loved each other, where we took our engagement photos, and where several of the decisions for our next life steps (jobs, moves, grad school) were made clear.
Radnor is another one of our favorite spots to get out of the city and enjoy a walk through the woods :)
Rumor has it the ghost of John's meniscus still haunts the stalls at this Topgolf (this is where John re-tore his meniscus during his sophomore year of college -- if you want the definition of insanity, John still comes back here all the time).
Many a date night or Saturday afternoon spent at the Froth. Highly recommend for a fresh California-style breakfast (Katie's choice), for a favorite of John's (frenchy frenchy toast toast), or for one of their fun coffee drinks.
This new spot has been a convenient and favorite spot for downtown date nights (Preds games, concerts). In particular, it has an insane food court that allows for Katie to get her Mediterranean quinoa dish and for John to get the second hottest level of Nashville hot chicken.
If you get to town early and have a day to explore, the Country Music Hall of Fame is a fun one! You can follow the history of music in Music City and get to record yourself in a makeshift recording studio.
When Katie first visited Nashville, John took her to downtown Franklin (and the Frothy Monkey there of course). It has the cutest main street in its downtown -- highly recommend a walk through!
If you have an extra day or two to visit Nashville, we highly recommend the zoo! We have grown to love this spot. We've done date night at the zoo's evening-only events, walked through the kangaroo exhibit (you can PET them), and pretended we were five on the animal-themed carousel.
Here's a list of some of our favorite date spots in Nashville! - Butcher and Bee (the whipped feta is next level) - Lyra - Edley's BBQ (their BBQ Nachos flow through John's veins) - Bartaco - Radish - E + Rose Wellness Cafe (whenever Katie is able to convince John to get acai bowls with her) - Greenery Co. - Jeni's Ice Creams - NoBaked Cookie Dough - 8th & Roast Coffee
Katie used to live right next to the Parthenon, and John and Katie have enjoyed many a stroll and picnic at this infamous Nashville spot together. (Taziki's restaurant is conveniently located close nearby). Seemingly the most random addition to the city, this is a full-scale replica of the Greek Parthenon right near Vanderbilt University. Highly recommend a walk through if you have time!
