Our absolute favorite place to go for dinner. We have celebrated multiple birthdays and life events here! We especially love the Gnocchi Carbonara and if you are looking for a cocktail the Lake Shore Drive and Lower Wacker Drive will do the trick.

If you are looking for a pretzel and a beer, this is your spot! We came here to celebrate Jack's 26th birthday and was the first place that we went out to dinner after we got engaged.
Chrissoulas - Libertyville Restaurant
Not sure if you have heard but we are going to Greece for our honeymoon! What better way to celebrate than by enjoying some Mediterranean food and pretending that you also are going to Greece?? We celebrated Katie's 28th birthday here with her best friends Kate & Grace!
Pizzeria DeVille
One of our new favorite spots! Their honey pizza will make you wish you ordered those pants an extra size bigger. We came here for Jack's 28th birthday and enjoyed a pizza...or two.
Milwalky Taco
Our go to spot for authentic Mexican food! We came here after we closed on our house and after we picked out our wedding rings to celebrate with a corona and tacos!
The Green Room Of Libertyville
While the ambiance here might feel like a grandma's house, don't be fooled! The Green Room is one of Libertyville's hidden gems. Sit at the bar and enjoy some conversation and cocktails with the town's favorite bartender. You can't go wrong with the white fish either!
Ristorante Bottaio
Looking for Italian? Here is your spot! While Katie's amazing bridal shower decorations set up by her sister Michelle and aunt Ann have been taken down by now you can still sit in the room where it happened! This is also where Katie and Jack celebrated their 5th anniversary of being a couple!
Mickey Finn's Brewery
If you would like to feel a tinge of hangover tomorrow, welcome to Mickey Finns! Many late nights have been spent here including the famous night of the proposal where Katie, Jack and all their friends partied and celebrated in the beer garden. Legend has it, Jack's shirt still has never been found.
Buffalo Creek Brewing
This is Katie and Jack's spot for the summer! If you are looking for an amazing patio and beer garden this is the place. Choose from a number of local craft beer options and if you go on Friday night, they typically have a food truck. Katie's favorite beer here is the Marrvelous (no they didn't name it after her but what a coincidence!) and Jack's is the Half Nelson.
Lake Bluff Brewing Company
Want to enjoy a craft beer just steps from Lake Michigan? Here you go! Lake Bluff is a true gem of a town and is one of our favorite places in the area.
Morgan's Bar & Grill
The best dive bar in the area! Katie, Jack, and friends enjoy having a pint or two of Guinness here and you can't beat their $10 burger!
The Board Room Libertyville
Libertyville's trendiest spot right now! Their cocktails are delicious and their charcuterie boards are no joke
Half Day Brewing Company
Another brewery?? wow the suburbs are actually pretty cool! This is just minutes from the Marriott Lincolnshire and is a very fun spot to relax and spread out. Half Day forest preserve is where Jack proposed to Katie!
Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters - Libertyville
The best spot for a quick coffee and breakfast in Libertyville! We love coming here on Saturday mornings and sitting in the courtyard across the street
Hansa Coffee Roasters
The best cup of coffee in town! They do not have full meals but do have some great breakfast treats. Very cool interior with outdoor seating as well!
Buttermilk Cafe
Katie and Jack used to live in the apartment complex across the street and would enjoy coming to Buttermilk for a MASSIVE weekend breakfast. Buttermilk has the only skillet that Jack is not able to finish in one sitting and if you know how he eats, that is saying something
Independence Grove Forest Preserve
Katie and Jack's favorite place to go for walks and runs. Beautiful forest preserve around a large man made lake. Great spot to get outside and enjoy nature. They also have a beer garden located in the center that has a bunch of fun local beers. If you are feeling adventurous you can rent a paddle pontoon or a kayak and enjoy the lake!
Half Day Forest Preserve
Come and see where Jack proposed to Katie! This forest preserve is very close the Marriott Lincolnshire and is perfect for a walk or run in the woods.
Sunrise Park
If you want to get to up and close to Lake Michigan, this is our favorite way to do it! Beautiful beach and overlook. This area can be difficult to get to as there is no parking so if you want to go, park in downtown lake bluff and walk to the beach from there. Enjoy a beer at Lake Bluff Brewing after!
Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve
This is the easiest option to get right up close and park next to Lake Michigan! There is a short walk/hike you can do that goes across a cool bridge
Chicago Botanic Garden
