Located at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, Sabino Canyon is one of the best places to hike in all of Tucson! The hikes are good for beginners and adventure seekers alike! Doug would argue the mountains are too steep but everyone else who has visited has been impressed by all the Sonoran Desert has to offer!
Saguaro National Park is split into 2 sections, the east side and the west side. The East side is near the venue and rests at the base of the Rincon Mountains.
Mount Lemmon is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains. If you drive up the mountain you will travel through several diverse ecosystems. Basically, you drive from the typical Arizona desert you are accustomed to and end up in Colorado. It takes about 1 hour to drive from the base to the top and is a really great way to see the city from a new lens.
