Happily Ever After Party

We met on a dating app (Hinge) in January 2020 and immediately started talking. We had our first date at Bad Weather Brewing the very next day on January 11, 2020. David felt like home to me immediately. I was so comfortable with him, had the butterflies and could see him in my life long term. Katie was so down to earth and felt different from other women I had met. We have enjoyed going back to Bad Weather Brewing a number of times to remember our first date. Very shortly after we started dating, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. This was a sink or swim moment for us and we decided to jump right in and we are glad that we did. Our dates consisted of take out, lots of binge watching and getting to know each other in a intense and lovely way. If you know us, you know that we don't like beating to anyone else's drum. We've moved on our own timeline and done things that have felt the best for us and our relationship and our new adventure as newlyweds hasn't been any different. We were at home one weekend in this never ending winter and were once again talking about getting married and our future together. We had an upcoming trip planned to Las Vegas and started asking the question "what would happen if we just got married in Vegas?!". We wanted to be married and did not want to go through the big planning process or spend a lot of money for one day. We wanted our wedding to be private and intimate which felt like the best option for us. David is very logical and Katie is a professional problem-solver who can appeal to people's logical thought process. What would do that better than a simple and chill powerpoint with pros and cons of why we should elope? That's what I did, after trying to force a beer on poor David and pretty soon, we were engaged! 3 weeks later we had a small and intimate wedding with our immediate family present and it was the best. We wanted something small and intimate and that is what we got. Now, it is time to celebrate with all of the people we love.
