We're getting Married!

Katie and Alex first met in spring of 2016 on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. They both were attending Stephen F. Austin State University, but didn't know each other before then. They both had an amazing time on Spring Break and after that would often see each other out in their college town of Nacogdoches, Texas. Alex couldn't get Katie out of his head and started to pursue her the following fall, asking to see her more and more often. They started to build a strong connection and on September 10, 2016 he asked her to be his girlfriend and Katie said yes!

After four years of dating and adventures, Katie and Alex had lived together all around Texas and found themselves in Arlington. Alex knew he was ready to spend the rest of his with Katie and needed to find a special way to make it happen. He looked for months to find the perfect ring to propose with. Now, he just needed a meaningful location. Alex brought Katie to Reunion Tower in Dallas (where they had previously celebrated their first year of dating) under the ruse of having drinks before dinner. As the ball spun around, Alex asked Katie to stand up. Katie had no idea her parents, grandparents , and Alex's dad had walked up behind her. Alex got down on one knee and asked the big question. Katie couldn't believe what she was hearing and just kept asking "Are you serious right now?!" in disbelief that Alex had planned this amazing surprise. Once Katie got over some of the shock and said yes, she turned around and saw their families clapping and celebrating their new engagement!
