Pal's Lounge in New Orleans, to be exact. Jordon and Katie were waiting on other friends to arrive. As fate would have it, they never showed. The couple went to get a round of drinks and ordered two Alaskans, a shot of Tullamore Dew and a High Life. When Katie gave her card to the bartender, Jordon knew he was in love. It was the first time a woman had bought him the first round. Covid hit a few months later, and the new couple made the decision to ride out the pandemic in Lafayette with the Konow family. This nomadic decision was a foreshadowing of the next few years of their lives. Hopping around to Maryland, Austin, and Houston, they explored and grew in their careers as well as in their relationship. Eventually, Jordon and Katie decided that while the escapades were fun, they were ready to unpack the boxes for good and begin a wholly new type of adventure. Under the disguise of a head shot appointment, Jordon took Katie to Lake Martin for an afternoon photo shoot. With a 10 foot alligator sunning itself in the background, Jordon got down on one knee and Katie said yes!
