Kathleen's version: While we had a brief interaction at an Saint Anselm College Accepted Student's Day in April 2014, the first freshman year interaction I remember of Jeremiah took place in the Davison Dining Hall. It was lunch time in between classes and I stopped at Dav to get lunch. I was waiting at the end of a long deli line that stretched into the lobby of the dining hall. A voice behind me eagerly said "Hi". I turned around and replied (not eagerly) "hi". Then "I'm Jeremiah". I did not give in much and repeated "hi" and turned back around in line. The same voice tried again with "I notice you getting sandwiches a lot" This left me completed confused. I got my chicken salad and shredded lettuce on a toasted white wrap to go and left the dining hall completed puzzled by this "sandwich boy" Jeremiah's version: I remember seeing Kathleen around campus several times our first semester of freshman year. Our second semester we started working together in the library and had a shift together. After every Tuesday shift, we would get lunch together. Eventually, I asked Kathleen to go to one of the student theater shows on campus for our first real date to see a show and then get dinner after.
Kathleen's version: Jeremiah said he was going to plan my 27th birthday celebration. He said he wanted to get lunch just us and then we could celebrate with my family for dinner. Jeremiah would not give me any details about my birthday lunch. When we started approaching the area of Lake Winnipesaukee I was pretty confident we were going to Garwoods in Wolfeboro (a favorite spot) for lunch. We parked and both started walking towards the town docks (as we would during any Wolfeboro visit). We walked to the end of the dock where I took a snapchat of Lake Winnipesaukee. After taking my snapchat, I turned around to find Jeremiah on one knee :) Jeremiah's version: Kathleen loves surprises, and loves celebrating her birthday, so I wanted to give her the best birthday surprise of all. We drove up to Wolfeboro for lunch and I proposed on the dock while she was taking a picture of the lake. She was so surprised that she didn't even notice my brother taking pictures of us. After lunch we met up with family and friends who I had invited to a "birthday party" for Kathleen.
