The RiverFront
This public park serves as a gateway between the historic Old Market and north downtown Omaha while providing a scenic pathway down to the Missouri River’s shore. Gene Leahy mall is located downtown and includes a performance pavilion for live music, a sculpture garden filled with interesting works of art, a state-of-the-art playground and a modern dog park. Lewis & Clark Landing is the northernmost component of The River Front, sharing a border with the Missouri River, located just east of the CHI Health Center. It was redesigned to include extensive green space such as a vast prairie garden, a sandy urban beach complete with firepits, nearby volleyball courts and a destination playground made for adventure.
