In light of the pandemic, we've decided to postpone our large wedding celebration. We will still get married on September 26 with our immediate family and bridal party, but the larger celebration will have to wait until it's safe. We appreciate everyone's support during this crazy time and ask that you stay safe and healthy so that come 2021, we'll all be ready to celebrate! UPDATE We did it! Sean and I tied the knot in a small ceremony on September 26 at Baltimore Country Club. Thank yo to everyone who joined us in person and those who sent us well wishes from afar. One Saturday night in March 2013 a bunch of Gators (St. Paul's School for Girls alum) were out celebrating Kellan (Reed) Bell's birthday in Federal Hill when they bumped into a former classmate and Crusader (St. Paul's School alum), Chris Lacy. Chris introduced the girls to his friends, including Sean. After a few drinks and swings around the dancefloor, the two groups parted ways. And as the modern millennial fairytale goes, a few weeks later both Sean and Katherine were scrolling through a dating app when they both swiped right. Sean immediately reminded Katherine about their chance encounter a few weeks prior and the rest is history. After almost six years of dating and buying their first home together in Canton, Katherine and Sean are ready to take the next step in their relationship by getting married. The best is yet to come.
Ahead of Katherine's 30th birthday, Sean insisted she open her present a few days early. After some resistance, Katherine finally opened up a beautiful camera. Sean knows that Katherine has always enjoyed photography and he encouraged her to take on a new hobby to match his many. Little did Katherine know, this was the start of Sean's master plan. After a quick charge of the camera battery, Sean convinced Katherine to go on a walk through Patterson Park to take some pictures of the scenery. Little did Sean know, Katherine was going to try and throw a wrench in his plans. Katherine would not leave the house without their dog, Tucker. There was no way they were going to the park without their pup! Finally, Katherine agreed. A very brisk walk through the park led them to the Pagoda at the top of the hill. Sean told Katherine to look towards the city skyline and take a picture. Just as she snapped the first photo on her new camera, Sean said, "Wait, take a picture of me." Katherine turned around to Sean down on his knee with a ring in his hand. As she exclaimed with excitement and reached for Sean, Katherine noticed a paparazi of sorts taking pictures of the moment. To her surprise, the photographer removed her hat and glasses to reveal Sean's sister Kate all the way from Hawaii. After some celebrations in the park and back at their house, Sean said they were to join their families in Canton square. They strolled down to Southern Provisions where they walked upstairs to a huge surprise party filled with all of their family and friends ready to celebrate the birthday and engagement.
