We met during Parent's Weekend, Sophomore year of college through mutual friends. We went to a sorority formal together that year, but just as friends. Nathan took the next semester to study abroad in Scotland, but we remained in touch through texts and daily Snapchats. When we were reunited Junior year, we remained friends. It wasn't until the last week of Junior year that we actually started dating!

I proposed to Kat while on vacation in Sicily, Italy. We were in a small coastal town in Northern Sicily called Cefalu. I had planned to propose on this trip, but wasn't sure which day to it. I knew as soon as we pulled into the train station that this was the place. I immediately insisted that we climb to the city overlook. Perched between ancient Greek ruins and overlooking the Mediterranean, I asked the love of my life to marry me!
