We're getting married!

Katherine and Joey met each other in high school where they became fast friends over their shared love of video games. Although it would be many years before they started dating, their love was also kindled by the same thing that introduced them to each other, video games. They also had shared interests of movies, books, Cosplay, sci-fi, fantasy, and the TV show Supernatural.

After five years of dating, Joey decided that Katherine was his storybook ending and his happily ever after. He thought Katherine would be the princess he would rescue from the tower and ride off into the sunset with. Joey's love of the movie "The Princess Bride" inspired the proposal. He took Katherine to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. Katherine and Joey were enjoying the festival with friends when he made the decision to get down on one knee and said to Katherine, "as you wish" which is their favorite quote from the film. Joey asked Katherine to marry him to which she said "YES!" Their shared love for one another brought them together for the rest of their lives and they are ready to face life's crazy ride together.
