Katie was at the movie Coco, showing at UW's War Memorial Stadium with her family and best friend, Tasen. Jackson was just settling in during his first summer in Laramie with his new teammates. Katie had arranged to meet up with Jackson and his friends later, but they decided to meet up during the movie in the east end zone. They forever have Frank Crum to thank for this meet-up. The rest was history!

After a few months of just "talking", Jackson decided to take what would be his first of many visits to Spearfish. It was here where Katie finally agreed that dating wasn't the craziest idea. So, this was where the relationship officially began!

After 4 years of a long distance relationship, being in the same place was finally in sight. But, not as soon as they thought. Katie decided to take a 3 month detour to Valencia, Spain. Jackson saw this as a great place to finally give Katie the engagement ring he bought for her two summers earlier! Accompanied by Blayne and Tasen, Jackson hopped on a plane, and flew to visit Katie. On the first day of the vacation, Jackson handed Katie a note he wrote the night he met her, and proceeded to ask her to marry him. And here we are now!!!
