Where should we stay?

Answer

Please consider booking under the hotel block or at least check out the prices If the block before booking! The hotel blocks have a high discount and the prices only continue to rise for the area. We have three hotel blocks to accommodate everyone. Hampton Inn, Hadston House, and the Landsby. The majority of people will be staying at the Hampton Inn! Hampton Inn is in Buellton, under ten minutes from Solvang. The other two hotels are in Solvang, a very cute Dutch town with a ton of charm and things to do. The rehearsal dinner will be in Solvang. There will be a bus to take everyone at the Hampton Inn and those staying in Solvang to and from the wedding. Every hotel room will book up for this weekend, so book your hotel room as soon as possible.

What city should we fly into?

Answer

We recommend you fly into Santa Barbara, which is about 45 minutes from Solvang. If those tickets are expensive, consider flying to Los Angeles or the surrounding airports. It’s about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Los Angeles to Solvang. Call us if you have questions and we might be able to connect people traveling to save costs.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have a bus pick up guests from the hotels with room blocks and other spots depending on where people are staying. The bus will take you back after the wedding and also to the local saloon if you want to continue the fun!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Everyone is invited to the Welcome Reception on Friday, September 11th, 2020 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There will be an open bar and dessert.

Where can we travel to after the wedding if we want to extend our trip?

Answer

You are in a great location to see all that California has to offer. Head north along the coast to Big Sur and Monterey for some of the most breathtaking ocean views. You can also get to San Francisco in about 5 hours and Los Angeles in 2.5 hours and San Diego in 4-5 hours. There are so many National and State parks to see in Cali. Yosemite is gorgeous and you can get to it easily in September. It will also be a great time to visit Death Valley.

What about the kids???

Answer

We are asking that only adults attend the wedding. However, we really want all of you at our wedding, so we will work to get a babysitter for all the kids to play together! Let me know what your plans are and we will make sure the whole family enjoys their Cali adventure.
