Kate and Owen met during a summer weekend down the shore at the Parker House. After Kate gave Owen her number, and instructed him to ask her out on a date, the rest was history. Kate and Owen dated in New York City, and then eventually moved to New Jersey in between travels during remote work. Over the year they have explored Charleston, Savannah, Sea Island, Florida, and hopefully many more places!

Owen and Kate lived in Charleston during this past fall. One weekend, Owen told Kate he found a "cool spot on Instagram", and Kate agreed, it was in fact, cool. During a day trip to Cypress Gardens, Owen proposed to Kate in a canoe, about 15 seconds into the ride. He could not bare the pressure a moment longer. It was the best weekend, and the celebrations continued when they returned home to New Jersey with their families.
