Justin and Kate met at Mulberry Street Cantina in Denton, TX in 2013. She was a bartender there and Justin was the annoying customer…just kidding. They started dating in October of 2014 and immediately fell head over heels for each other. They enjoyed meeting up at Oak St. Drafthouse and playing Golden Tee with friends at The Labb. Ripley and April, their two pups, love going on neighborhood walks with them whenever they’re not busy chasing squirrels in the backyard. On weeknights you can catch them watching Wheel of Fortune promptly at 6:26. During the pandemic / quarantine of 2020 Kate and Justin started doing FaceTime happy hour with their close friends. They would watch hockey together, have dance parties, watch game shows and all in all have a get-together without actually being together. Justin proposed to Kate on a Friday night at their home in Denton. He actually lied about his truck not running and the front porch light being out so it was pitch black when she got home from work. He had the entire front room filled with candles and pictures of them as well as a bouquet of roses on the coffee table. Kate walked in and screamed “WHAT IS HAPPENING!?” They are so excited about this next chapter in their lives and can’t wait to share this day with you!
