We will have pick ups at the Sonnenalp Hotel and Vail Transportation Center at 4pm to take guests to the venue, and return trips in the evening as well.
For women, please wear a dress below the knee. For men, a tuxedo or a dark suit with a tie. *Please note that parts of the ceremony will be on grass, so if you choose to wear heels, we recommend heel savers or a wider heel.
With summer suits for men, and summery sundresses for women, this is about as casual as you can get and still feel dressed up for an affair. Khaki pants and fun prints are welcome, with a definite emphasis on lighter, nice-but-not-too-nice attire for what is a more casual, but still very special, event. This event will be held on a patio and indoors.
While we love all of your little ones, we kindly request no children at our wedding. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free, and take the opportunity to enjoy the weekend getaway in the mountains.
All of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are outdoors, with the reception in an open air tent.
The property is mostly grass until the reception, so we recommend wedges or heel savers for stilettos. Don't forget to wear sunscreen, as the Colorado sun can be strong. The tent is heated and has flooring, so you'll be very comfortable inside it.
Please text our wedding planner, Amanda Slater, at (720) 232-1747. If you have any questions ahead of time, you can email her at amanda@slater-events.com
If you need to be dropped off at the welcome party, the Christiana lodge will be the closest place (3 minute walk). All facilities at the welcome party are accessible.
