It’s a classic tale really. Girl and boy meet during a pre-orientation college trip. Absolutely no romantic sparks fly. But they do become friends. For the next three years girl helps boy navigate his various romantic relationships. Boy helps girl not take college so seriously (see the picture below at a toga party as evidence). Jump to October 2015 and boy and girl decide to have a friendly dinner. Tacos are eaten and summer catch-ups shared. But this time, boy out of nowhere kisses girl (despite what he’ll tell you). And the rest, my friends, is history.
It’s been four years since that first fateful “date.” We made an objectively terrible decision to long-distance date for two years (there’s nothing like crying as you drive away from the one you love knowing you have five hours in the car ahead of you and then ten hours of homework to catch up on). But now we were finally in the same town with the future looking bright. It’s Thursday January 23rd at approximately 6:30pm. Yes a Thursday. Kate: “I’m so hungry. Do you want a burger?”. Ethan: “yeah a burger sounds good.” Kate: “great let’s go.” Ethan: “okay cool but first I have a question for you.” And the rest, my friends, is history. But if you are wondering the burgers were really good.
COVID prevented us from having our originally scheduled wedding. So, we would like to officially invite you to our *woot-woot* new wedding on Vashon Island, Washington on July 30th, 2022. This is the new unstoppable plan (that is if we don’t break up but hey we survived quarantine together so I think we’re good? Did I take it too far? Has changing the whole wedding made me go crazy? Who knows but love you Ethan). In all seriousness, we are so grateful for you all and cannot wait to celebrate together! Thank you for your unconditional support and love. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Stay safe – we are getting so much closer to the finish line 😊 Love you! Kate and Ethan
