Ashley and Kate met in Vail, Colorado in February, 2012, under interesting circumstances: Kate "broke the shit out of her knee" (as Ashley says) while skiing at Beaver Creek. Ashley was Kate's inpatient Physical Therapist and one of the only people to get her out of bed while she was laid up in the hospital. They quickly bonded over their East Coast roots, shared love of large amounts of popcorn, and the realization that they lived in the same apartment complex. Since then, a deep and forever link has joined them that has lasted through numerous moves across the country (for both!), late night/early morning phone calls, and eating off of each other's plates. Their bond will never break the way a knee does!

Kara and Kate met the way most Colorado girl friends do: They were stuck hanging with boys all the time and clung to each other for survival! Between scientifically rating cupcakes, making homemade moonshine, and frequently showing up in the same outfit, they've shared so many laughs over the years. Kate has even forgiven Kara for sending her to the wrong mountaintop party by having her hitchhike via snowmobile. When things get weird (ahem, the near arrest on a flight to Vegas in 2013), Kara remains calm and easygoing. Even from 2000 miles away, Kara makes it feel like there is no distance at all!

Every girl has that one friend from camp that they met a million years ago who just sticks with them. For Kate, it's Reesa! Summer 2000 was one for the books when the two of them were assigned as roommates while doing a summer study program at Wellesley college. They were nerdy teenagers obsessed with Smartfood, Baby-G watches, and creating nicknames for every single person they met. From then on, they kept in touch by writing letters (that was still a thing!) and making their parents drive them back and forth the 3 hours in between their houses for long weekends and holidays. Not only did they share their awkward years, they now share a wedding anniversary! Though they have never even lived in the same state, they have remained close for 22 years.
