Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center

225 Pavillion Road, Thetford, VT 05043

Kat discovered Cedar Circle when she was a camper/counselor at Aloha (in Fairlee, VT). Since then, she can't visit the area without making a trip here for vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, or a specialty coffee from their cafe. We recommend trying the maple latte! Hours: Sat–Wed: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thu–Fri: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Café hours: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

Norwich Farmers Market

The Norwich Farmers' Market is one of the oldest and largest farmers’ markets in northern New England, offering the very finest in homegrown and homemade products in the Upper Valley. Saturday 9am to 1pm (rain or shine).

King Arthur Baking Company Café and Bakery

Red Kite Candy & Ice Cream Store

One of Kat and Shawn's favorite ice cream locations in the area! They use their own homemade caramel in the ice cream. Perfect for a hot summer day Hours: Mon - Sat: 10:00 - 5:00

An Egri family favorite! Great for pizza, wings, and other comfort Italian food. Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Dirt Cowboy Café has been serving freshly roasted and individually brewed coffees to the Hanover, NH community since 1993 and has been voted the "Best Gourmet Coffee Shop" in the region for 15 consecutive years! Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 7:30am - 2:00pm

Ledyard Canoe Club

9 Boathouse Road, Hanover, NH 03755

Pack your water shoes, swimsuit, and sunscreen! The Ledyard Canoe Club is a great place to rent a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for a few hours. Either paddle upstream, or allow the river to carry you downstream. Pack a lunch and some drinks if you plan to go on a longer excursion!

Smarts Mountain

Dorchester Rd, Lyme, NH 03768

7.5 mile loop hike, with 2,400 feet of elevation gain. Smarts Mountain is a huge, forested mass which is the highest point in the long chain of peaks known as the Middle Connecticut River Mountains. Its summit bears a recently renovated fire tower which provides an excellent vista in all directions. See attached website for hiking directions.

Lake Morey

A very special place in the heart of the DeRuff family. Beautiful, large lake to visit for hiking trails (see website link), or a walk along the road that circles the lake.

Vermont Bike & Brew

One of the best ways to see Vermont! Showcasing the best craft breweries, general stores, and farm stands in Vermont – all from the seat of an eBike! Bike rentals require a reservation. See website for tour and rental logistics.

Don't forget to pack your swimsuit! Fantastic public swimming beach to cool off on a summer's day (there are two beaches - make sure to park at the Public, and not the Town beach)!
