We talked for a few weeks before finally meeting up at Maplewood Mall parking lot with lots of cars and people around in case we needed to both jump in our cars and get away from each other. We walked the mall, went into the bookstore looked at some books talked about what books we were both into. We both got hungry and decided to head to TGIFriday's for some lunch, ordered some drinks but I for some reason misplaced my ID and couldn't verify my age for my bloody mary but the nice waiter gave it to me anyways even though he got yelled at by his boss for doing that. We kind of didn't want the day to end so we made our way over to Rosedale Mall to see a movie (Aquaman) both of us being tired and him working nights we may or may not have fallen asleep during parts of the movie. Once that ended we knew we had to make our way back to his car which we left at Maplewood mall and we ended our evening saying goodbye in my jeep and both wishing to see each other again soon.

New Years Day we were hanging out at my place, my daughter had just left to go to her dads to spend time with him and Jon came over to hang out since we didn't get to spend New Years Eve together. Not sure what we were watching on TV but out of no where he just blurts out " Do you want to be my girlfriend", all I did was smile but what I really wanted to do was laugh but only for the fact that it was so cute how nervous he was that it was kinda funny how he blurted it out.

We went to what other place then Las Vegas to Celebrate not only New Years Eve but also getting through our one year together. We had a lot of ups in our first year and we had to celebrate it in a big way and Las Vegas was the perfect place for it. We walked a lot, seen many places and did the tourist stuff but couldn't wait to get back and get going on year number two.

Thanks to COVID we had to cancel our big family reunion that we always do every year in honor of my grandma and celebrate her birthday. So instead we decided to just have the family get together at my brothers house in Stacy, MN for dinner and some family pictures. We got everyone set for their family pictures and then a big family picture and then we all sat down and ate dinner, went out after and let the kids run and play in the yard as my brother and everyone was getting a projector set up to "play my grandmas DVD". Finally everything gets set up and the video starts but its not the one I made so I'm like whatever maybe someone tweaked it, pictures of my grandma are up then its of the family and then pictures of me and Jon, Im thinking nothing of it cause you know whatever hes apart of the family now right. Music is getting sappier then BOOM! pictures of my mom and dads wedding pop up, then Gilbert and Beths...oh but then wait Ashley and Tony still I'm just like whatever cause now my favorite song it on lol In Case You Didn't know by Brett Young and I'm singing away in Vienna's ear and then next thing you know Jon's on one knee and spilling his guts out to me and I'm laughing telling him to shut up, asking if hes joking and playfully smacking him on his face as I say YES and then no joke fireworks go off!!
