Our Story

By Logan

The first time we met was senior year of college. I wasn't looking to date but she sure was pretty, oh and sweet too. Our first meeting was just me carrying all her stuff into her apartment, very romantic. After moving her in, we continued to hang out. Most of the time we spent together included other people, so i constantly tried to find a time to talk to just her, and it wasn't easy. Eventually though, I prevailed. She had made a dessert called sopapilla's and I asked if I could have one. So she brought them out to my apartment and I got her to stand there and talk to me for almost four hours. I guess this is where people say the rest was history. I knew that the woman I was getting to know was worthy of marrying. She loved God with an incredible passion and she quickly became a blessing in my life. One of our mutual friends pushed me to ask her on a date and eventually I worked up the courage to. Surprisingly, she said yes. After a couple dates I asked her to be my girlfriend, and again, surprisingly she said yes. Before we started dating Karoline told me her calling to move to Fredericksburg, VA to help plant a church. So, in January of 21 I helped move her to Virginia. I still had a semester of school left, so I couldn't join quite yet. Our relationship was long distance for nine really long months. We only saw each other three times during this time. It was through God that we made it, and even grew closer in this chapter. After finishing my semester of school I knew it was time to join Karoline and to serve alongside her. Through a lot of prayer, I decided it was the right time for me to ask her to marry me. I flew up to Virginia in July with an engagement ring in my pocket. I proposed at a botanical garden in Washington, D.C., and for the last time, surprisingly, she said yes. Shortly after that I moved to Virginia where we both now live and serve Christ together in our church plant. It has been an amazing journey and I'm excited for whats to come.

Our Story

by Karoline

I had one semester of college left with no expectations to find a man worth marrying before graduation, until I met Logan. Logan stood out from the very beginning. When I saw him, I saw a man who was ready to take on what God has to offer. Multiple times I told my best friend he was husband material and different from every guy I knew. There was a potential roadblock in the beginning of our relationship. You see, after graduation I was moving across the country to Virginia to help plant a church. Logan knew this from day one and was never afraid. He supported me and pushed me to follow the plans God had for me. As our relationship grew, I knew that we were drawn towards each other. I could see his strengths and weaknesses were a complement to mine. But he had to answer one very important question before I would begin dating him. He didn’t know this was a make-or-break question at the time. I asked him how he wants to serve in the church alongside his wife. He answered correctly. It’s the same as mine. To love people, invite them into our home, and share Jesus with them. His desire was mine. From here I had no doubt God had placed Logan in my life to be my husband and serve God alongside Logan. We began dating, and four months into our relationship I moved across the country. We spent nine long months apart. Our relationship grew even stronger during one of the hardest times in our life. We only saw each other three times in nine months. During the third visit, Logan surprised me and asked me to marry him. I was shocked and surprised because I never saw it coming. Of course, I cried and said yes! Two months after Logan proposed, he was able to move to Virginia. Now we are once again in the same city serving God alongside one another. It has been the best season of my life. I cannot wait to marry this man and continue on the path God has laid out for us.
