Erin has known Lindsey since the 8th grade at Ursuline. They have stayed very close throughout the years and even went to LSU together. Anyone who has had the pleasure of conversing with Lindsey understands how Karla became so close to her. Lindsey has become one of our go-tos when wanting to share good news, vent, or dance the night away. 11 years, and multiple fur nieces and nephews, we're so happy to have Lindsey by our sides.

One of Karla's oldest friends and confidants, Jose has witnessed the many phases of Karla; the 4-year-old kid with a bowl cut, the 14-year-old scene kid, the 17-year-old gifie at boarding school (yep they even went to LSMSA together), the 20-year-old raver, and the bride today! After all these years, we can both agree that we are indeed family. Birds of a feather, Jose and Erin quickly became friends and bonded over music and dealing with Karla. We're so happy to have Jose with us on our special day!

Alex is Erin's brother who has seen her through every stage of life including every awkward haircut and fashion trend. Between watching game and reality shows, and sharing music discoveries (Alex credits Erin for his love of Taylor Switft), he can always be counted on for a good crafting night of laughs and music. Alex welcomed Karla with open arms and she'll never forget how hard she tried to impress him the first time they met at LSU. She definitely feels like Alex set the tone when it came to meeting the Romaines, and she thanks him for this. Alex was Erin's first best friend and will always be on that list. Thank you for being part of this special day, Alex!

Ariel is Erin and Karla's newest friend but it certainly doesn't feel that way. Few great things happened during the pandemic, and meeting Ariel is one of the top 5! The love of food, sunshine, cocktails, politics, and Monopoly deal brought this trio together. As the world started opening back up, we discovered that we also have an affinity for new adventures whether in the city or in the mountains. You can easily find us dancing until 2 am or watching all of the Lord of Rings. We're so grateful that COVID brought us together!

Annie and Erin have known each other since they were very little and even went to Ursuline together. After keeping their friendship going post-high school at LSU and then getting even closer after college, Annie is one of Erin's closest friends. Among being such a calming presence, and a Cadillac Queen, Annie can make you laugh so hard you'll cry. Between game nights, adult sharing circle, music, and Mardi Gras adventures, Annie has been a great presence to both brides.

Randy lived across the street from Karla at LSU which meant numerous cooking nights, chill sessions, and a sprinkle of going out. After LSU, Karla and Erin luckily enough moved to their neighborhood in Nola and those family dinners picked right back up! Randy has always been someone who no matter the distance or time, can count on being there for us. Here we are over a decade and a pandemic later, we're closer than ever, cook frequently, and explore new music and experiences. We're so thankful to share this day with them.

Ben is Erin's youngest brother and will always be her first baby even though he's fully grown. Erin basically raised Ben ;) **cough cough Connie and Charlie** and has loved watching him grow up. Karla can say the same about watching this fantastic being, or as Karla has him in her phone, Bentasic, grow up, as he was just 9 years old when she met him. From going to his art shows, to convincing him to eat new things to bringing him to Comicon and seeing live music as a teen and now having extremely thoughtful conversations about history and music, Ben will always be that goofy kid to Erin and Karla. Thank you so much for being part of our wedding!

From riding the bus together in elementary school and being easily confused as Karla's little sister, Karla is so grateful to be a part of her life and watch her grow up into the amazing woman she is today. Lindsey and the brides have created a lot of memories together from her first Mardi Gras in New Orleans in high school, attempting to study together at LSU, running in the Bonnaroo water fountain, being destroyed at Monopoly deal (you see, Karla doesn't always win, don't let them tell you otherwise), joining the pod during the pandemic, and dancing all night at concerts. Thank you for being a part of our lives! PS: If you see her crying on the dancefloor, she's okay, we promise :P

Claire and Erin had the perfect age difference that made Erin one of the "cool cousins" Claire looked up to. Karla will never forget meeting Claire early in her relationship. It was one of her first family events and it was a Commander's brunch (IYKYK) Between family reunions, Romania, to sharing a strong love for music food, and conversing, Karla quickly grew close to Claire. After the glorious Mardi Gras of 2019, Claire moved to New Orleans for med school in 2020, and then the pandemic hit. All three grew even closer and with limited things to do, we bonded over cooking, baking, and keeping each other sane and entertained during the lockdown. We're so happy to have you by our side Claire!

Karla met Daniel during her time LSU while working for the state's democratic party and on different political campaigns. They always bonded over being progressives from Allen Parish, but it wasn't until Karla and Erin moved to New Orleans that the friendship evolved into what it is today, Los Tres Degenerados. From traveling to new countries, getting as many national park stamps as possible, to showing Karla's parents the tricks of their parishes' casino and gambling at the New Orleans racetrack, Daniel has become one of thier great friends, and his pup, Lucy, is our GodDog. We can't wait to enjoy a cigar together on our wedding day!

On Mr. King's 21st birthday at LSU, two friend groups collided. It was a hell of a night and the best part besides playing pool and drinking PB&Js was easily the moment he introduced Erin to Karla. From then on it was the 4 amigos: Pat, Erin, Karla, & Jim Beam. Another friendship filled with laughter, love, and live music, it has been so beautiful to grow up together and be there for one another as our families grow! Pat saw the potential of Erin and Karla's relationship, and that is something they will always appreciate. Simply put, without Pat no one would be gathering on October 19th.
