Weedon Island Preserve

The Weedon Island Preserve is a 3,190 acre natural area situated along the western shore of Tampa Bay, Perfect place to kayak through the Mangroves.

Fort De Soto Park

Historically, the islands were used for military fortifications; remnants and a museum exhibit this history. Two piers, beaches, picnic area, hiking trails, bicycling trails, kayak trail, and a ferry to Egmont Key State Park are available. Make sure you have $5 to get in the park as well as a few quarters for the tolls. Side Note: We had our engagement pictures taken here.

Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Racetrack

The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is an IndyCar Series race held in St. Petersburg, Florida which has served as the season opener in downtown St. Pete since 2009. Normally in March, this year the race has been rescheduled to April 23-25. You can buy your tickets online.
