Who knew that two kids who grew up on opposite coasts of the country would meet, fall in love, and get married! It is all thanks to a cross country move, a dating app, and the pandemic that drove Emily and Karim to seek new ways of meeting people. It started with mutual likes from each other, then next thing you know, they were attached to their phones messaging each other nonstop. Sharing similar interests, hobbies, and a love for airplanes, they quickly realized that this is not any relationship. Their love for In-N-Out and watching airplanes at LAX became a reality at their first date. Simply popping the trunk of the good ol’ Prius, Karim thought it would be a perfect first date to sit with Emily, eating a double double burger while watching planes depart. Fast forward, Karim finds he simply cannot live without Emily and decides it's time to pop the question. He might have leaked out some hints on when he will do it, but hey, we can’t blame him as Emily has made him realize he can’t live without her. Proposal story: the day consisted of three parts: We watch Top Gun Maverick in the movie theaters, we grab sushi, then top off the day with a sunset airplane ride and after landing, he would get on one knee. Here’s the fun part, Emily had a hunch that it would be the day Karim would pop the question but as we came for landing as the sun was setting, Emily had her doubts. All she was thinking was “Well we went through the whole plan for the day, maybe today was not the day”; only a few minutes later to find Karim down on one knee with a very shiny stone in his hand asking Emily to make him the luckiest man in the world.
