It was an eventful night out with friends for the both of us. We both happened to spend our night at a downtown Saint Louis nightclub on Washington Ave called Lola. We saw each other from time to time while inside but no words were spoken. At the conclusion of the night, we both partook in a tadbit of parking lot lingering! I was tired of looking but not speaking so I asked, “Is this your car?” His friend almost ruined our meeting with a nasty response but Jason advised him to quiet down then apologized to me for his friend’s behavior. We chatted for a few moments longer while making arrangements for a date the next day. We had our first date the following day and the rest is history!
It was a couples weekend in Atlanta. I just returned from out of town for work. Needless to say, we had a full house of guests the entire weekend. Since we already had people at the house, I thought nothing of it when a friend called saying she just wanted to come to Atlanta for the weekend. With no hesitation, I told her to come on! So the weekend began and anyone who knows me knows that I have questions when it comes to anything planned. Everytime I asked Jason details regarding something he seemed flustered, not give me adequate answers and quite frankly acting reallll funny (insert head and eye roll). I let him and anyone else who would listen know as much. I also thought nothing of my friend pampering me, spending hours curling my hair...I told her she was getting on my nerves too. Then the moment finally came while we were pre-gaming for a night out. The music stopped, Jason got on the mic sweating while he got on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?” I said yes! I can’t wait for the next time he tries to surprise me!!!
