Can I park at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. Only valet parking is available but it is complimentary to guests.

What are good places to visit in Sarasota?

Answer

We recommend the Ringling Museum of Art, Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens, the shops at St Armands Circle, Jungle Gardens (flamingos!} and Lido and Siesta Key beaches.

When should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Arrive between 4:30-4:45. There is an elevator to the event floor.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

For the Sarasota wedding, please RSVP by October 21, 2023. For the Rochester reception, please RSVP by November 15, 2023.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered. We are bringing two households together and we don’t need anything Your gift to us is your presence at our celebration or your good wishes. If you want to donate to your favorite charity in lieu of a gift, just let us know so we can celebrate with you.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For Sarasota, the dress code is semi formal. But it’s on the beach and will be warm, so ties for men are optional. Hats and sunglasses may be useful during the ceremony but the reception will be under cover. For Rochester, festive holiday attire seems good to us, but wintry weather may influence your choice.

Do you have any hotel recommendations in Sarasota?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Sarasota (see Travel page). Other nearby hotels include The Westin downtown, Hyatt Regency Sarasota, and Embassy Suites Sarasota. On Lido Key there is a Holiday Inn not far from the wedding venue. Up north on Longboat Key there is Zota Beach Resort that has a restaurant, pool, and beach access. Sarasota is a prime vacationer spot so there are plenty of rental houses available as well if you book early enough.

Yes there is complimentary valet parking.

What are good places to visit in Rochester?

Answer

Rochester is home to many museums and art galleries, such as the Strong National Museum of Play, the Rochester Museum & Science Center, the Memorial Art Gallery, and the George Eastman Museum and House.

We have reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Inn on Broadway (elevator accessible). See the Travel page. The deadline to reserve at this rate is in September so book early. Other local hotels include the Courtyard by Marriott Rochester Downtown, the Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown, Hyatt Regency Rochester, and Woodcliff Hotel and Spa (in Pittsford NY to the SE of downtown).
