Zac & Kara's love story began in Rockford, IL in 2016. Kara was working as a Recruiter at Greenlee & Zac was in a rotational program where he was assigned an IT position at Greenlee for his final rotation. After several work events, theme parties & nights at Prairie Street Brewery, Kara lured Zac in by asking if he wanted to meet her cute puppy, Zoey. For their first date they spontaneously took a weekday trip to Kara's favorite spot, Williams Bay, WI. They took a walk on the lake shore path, enjoyed dinner at Harpoon Willies & the rest was history. They loved to go on adventures & spending all of their time together. In August 2016, Zac’s rotation at Greenlee ended and he moved to Augusta, GA to start his full-time position. This did not stop them from visiting each other as much as possible, attending Alabama football games & falling asleep on Skype together every night. In September 2017, Kara took a new position & moved to Providence, RI. At this time, Zac was working on a project where he traveled to MN weekly. Instead of going back to Augusta on the weekends, Zac took 3 flights each way to Providence to be with Kara. In January 2018, Zac moved to Providence where they started the adventure of living together! They enjoyed spending time with friends, experiencing new food and traveling to the beautiful places around the Northeast. They took their first international trip together to London & Paris, where they saw all kinds of amazing things. Although they loved everything that the Northeast gave to them, they decided to move back to the Midwest where it all began. In Fall of 2019, they both started new jobs in WI & quickly fell in love with living in the suburbs of Milwaukee. On April 10th, they decided to go back to Williams Bay where it all began to walk along the lake where Zac surprised Kara by popping the question & Kara said YES! COVID & quarantine could not stop Zac from making Kara his wife. We are so excited for the best adventure yet as Mr. & Mrs.!
