Should I bring my kids?

Answer

While we would love to have your children join us, we highly encourage you to enjoy the evening as a date night. You may see your child listed on the RSVP, however due to limited venue space and the nature of our celebration, we kindly ask that you consider leaving your children at home unless they are part of our immediate family. Please keep in mind if you must bring children, this event will NOT be catered to them!

Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?

Answer

For both the ceremony and reception, we’re excited to celebrate outdoors in a beautiful natural setting. The dress code is cocktail attire. Please note that the venue has no paved walkways, so we recommend wearing shoes suited for grass or uneven terrain—pointed heels might be tricky! We want everyone to enjoy the day to the fullest, so please dress accordingly and be ready for a lovely, relaxed celebration outdoors.

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for the event is cocktail attire, with a touch of relaxed elegance to suit the season and setting. Please keep in mine the Kansas weather! Here's everything you need to know to dress appropriately for the occasion: For Women: Given the September weather, we recommend lightweight fabrics that are both stylish and breathable. Since it’s an outdoor event, consider wedges or block heels—something sturdy for walking on grass or uneven ground. For Men: For the guys, a suit or button-up, collared shirt with slacks is ideal. Since the celebration is outdoors, dress shoes or loafers are perfect. A light jacket or blazer will keep you looking sharp as the evening cools down.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

When you RSVP, you'll find out if you’re able to bring a plus one, as we have limited space and need to make sure we have room for everyone. If your invitation includes a plus one, we can't wait to welcome them as well. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the reception start time to find parking and a place to sit!

What if I didn't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not recieve your RSVP by the date provided, it will automatically be marked as "no". We will miss celebrating with you but it's imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time frame they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

Transportation

Answer

For your convenience, we’ll be offering a shuttle service between the Kansas Star Hotel and the wedding venue. The shuttle will run both before and after our celebration, so you won’t have to worry about transportation—just hop on and enjoy the ride! We want to make sure everyone can relax and enjoy the day, so please take advantage of this easy, stress-free option to get to and from the celebration. Additionally, there is plenty of parking at the venue for those driving themselves!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us and the hangover is on you! Please arrange for transportation if necessary from the venue. We want all our loved ones to make it home safe!

Dinner will be served BBQ-style. Expect grilled meats and savory sides that are sure to please every palate. We’re thrilled to share this delicious meal with you as we enjoy great company and make unforgettable memories.
