Erin's Version: On June 15, 2022 I messaged this guy I thought was cute on Bumble. A week later we met for what we both thought would be a just another cup of coffee in our online dating trials. It turned out to be the beginning of something very special. We sat and talked for 3 hours, both having so much more to say and the second date already set before we left. I was quickly impressed by how intentional he was in getting to know me. He wouldn’t let me end a date until we set the next date and I quickly grew to realize he truly meant to keep me around. I loved his big heart and how natural it felt to be with him. He told me early on that he intended to marry me and said he loved me on Sept 15th. While I knew I loved him I thought he was a little crazy to be talking about marriage so soon. He patiently waited as I came to the same conclusion, but eagerly made his intentions clear to my friends and family who were all in support of us getting married. We spent the next few months growing together, spending time with each other’s family and dreaming of our life together. I decided all his marriage talk wasn’t too crazy after all, and he proposed on February 11, 2023 at a winery where we spent one of our first dates. One year, one month and one day later from the start of dating on September 16th, 2023, I get to marry my ONE. Kameron's Version: On June 15, 2022 I received a message from this incredible, god-fearing, fun-loving woman on Bumble; who anyone would be lucky to call their own. Somehow I convinced her to have a coffee with me, (for all my Broista friends she ordered a medium iced vanilla latte), and the quick meet up for coffee quickly turned to a 3 hour conversation. I left the coffee date feeling this was the beginning of something very special and as the time went on for the next several months I became more intrigued by her and the most intentional I had ever been pursuing such magnificent woman. On August 15, 2022 I asked her to be my girlfriend. We continued to go on adventures, create memories, introduce one another to our family & friends, and grow as a couple. As I spent time with her and around her family for the holidays, it had solidified what I had already known, that I wanted to make Erin my wife. On January 23, 2023, I sat nervously at the table and asked for her parents permission and was greeted with happiness and positive response. After several weeks of planning the engagement with her friends and family, purchasing the ring, and trying to keep a secret (It was very hard!). On February 11, 2023, I got down on one knee at a place very near and dear to our hearts and asked her, Erin Nicole Shields, to marry me. I was greeted with a very happy yes and tears of happiness as we walked into a surprise party at her parents house. As we began to plan, we finally picked a venue and a date, September 16, 2023. Funny enough, this was exactly ONE year, ONE month, and ONE day from when we started dating, I get to marry my ONE.
