The Florida coastline is 1,350 miles but we happened to live ~50 away from each other for a short time, Melbourne and Fort Pierce. We were both finishing graduate school and lived just close enough to match on Hinge. Shortly after we started dating, the world shut down due to the pandemic. We became partners relatively quickly and started facing the world falling apart together (hello, quarantine!). Not long after, we were on daily adventures together, traveling up and down the East Coast building our relationship.

Kal's plans to propose in Florida (at a backyard BBQ with both sets of parents finally meeting for the first time) got disrupted by most of us getting COVID. During our romantic infectious viral stint, Kal couldn't wait any longer and popped the question in the kitchen of our quaint Florida rental home. Ally quickly said "YES!" and now here we are (: We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Columbus!
