You're doing the first part: reading this FAQ completely. Thank you! Please RSVP via this website by March 1st at the latest. RSVP for each meal you plan to have at camp for your entire party, including all age information. Also, if you'd like to tie-dye a shirt, don't forget to RSVP for that activity also - no RSVP, no shirt, buddy! Now, all you have to do is pack. See "What do I need to bring if I'm staying in a cabin" below. Wait... one more thing: Start practicing your best dance moves for the reception!
Upon arrival, drive up to the Lodge, park, and check in. You'll receive keys to your party's cabin and directions on how to get there. You will be able to park near your cabin during your stay.
Guests will stay in basic cabins with beds and dressers. The beds have mattresses but campers need to bring their own sheets, blankets, and pillows. Please bring extra blankets as it will get chilly at night and the cabins don't have heat. If you're flying in, please get in touch with us and we'll do our best to gather bedding material for your stay. All meals are included! All food is cooked fresh onsite! Please RSVP for each meal with your party's ages and any dietary restrictions/allergies. All meals (except for Saturday night's wedding dinner) are served in the Dining Hall buffet-style. Coffee, tea, and continental breakfast is available starting at 7am. Hot breakfast is served starting at 8:30am, lunch starts at 12:30pm, and Friday dinner starts at 5:30pm (times subject to change). Outside of meal times, various snacks, ice cream treats, espresso drinks, and more, can be purchased at the Camp Store attached to the Lodge. Cabins have electricity (ceiling and porch lights) but most do not have electrical outlets. There are outlets available in bathrooms and at various communal areas. If you REQUIRE an outlet in your cabin (CPAP machine, etc.), please let us know IN ADVANCE. Restrooms and showers are available but cabins do not include private bathrooms. Enjoy unplugging for the weekend! Cell service is limited due to the remote location – Verizon customers may be better off. WiFi is available in the Lodge. You must check out by 11am on Sunday. Please clear out all dressers, clean up any trash, and sweep the floors (brooms are available in each cabin). Return your keys to the lodge – there is a $10 fee for lost keys.
Yes, but only if you're staying overnight. If you're only coming for Saturday evening's wedding ceremony and reception (including reception dinner), just RSVP for the wedding and you're all set! If you're staying with us at Camp Sac for all or part of the weekend, we're asking for assistance to partially offset costs. Keep in mind, these prices include meals, lodging, and all of the facilities camp offers. If you're staying the whole weekend, that's two nights lodging and five meals included in the price per guest. If you're staying from Friday through Sunday (2 nights): 15 & older: $130 total per guest 6 – 14: $100 total per guest 5 & under: Free If you're staying overnight for only one night (1 night): 15 & older: $65 per guest 6 – 14: $50 per guest 5 & under: Free We think this is a great value for a fun-filled weekend, but if you have any questions, please reach out.
You can send payment via Venmo (@kolton-kammerer or @kaliebens), PayPal (@koltonkammerer), or check (contact us for mailing address). We'd appreciate payment upon RSVPing, but you can send anytime leading up to the wedding date. As a last resort, we can accept payment at the wedding (but we'll be pretty distracted!).
Think of this as camping. The cabins are "bare-bones" - there are beds/bunkbeds and dressers in each cabin, and an overhead light. Campers need to bring bedding for the mattresses and washcloths/towels for the communal bathrooms/showers. Camp Sac's "What To Bring" section on their website offers a handy list of items to think about bringing: https://www.cityofsacramento.org/ParksandRec/Recreation/Camp-Sac/Family-Camp?fbclid=IwAR0Rw0cAVQFenFSnRB9JsVPxyLNfyL3677Y-SqwaH0L8QVYe9FECbKktVK4
Kolton and Kalie will assign cabins based on number of guests in your RSVP. If space is limited, we might pair up logical groups of friends or family where it makes sense. We'll let you know well in advance, after we've received RSVPs!
Yes! Feel free to bring any additional food and beverages you'd like to enjoy for the weekend, including cooler and ice if needed.
Oh yeah! Camp Sac staff will be bartending during the reception. We'll be providing a few kegs and some wine, and the bar will be stocked with ice and cups. We appreciate and highly encourage that you bring some additional beverages - for yourself or to share with the party!
We're camping in the woods and terrain is uneven in spots, so we recommend leaving the heels at home. This weekend is all about fun! However, for the wedding ceremony and reception, Kalie and Kolton will be dressed up and would love for you to be as well, but suits and ties aren't required. Remember it will get chilly in the evening, so bring layers!
Yes, camp is kid-friendly! There's a playground, ping pong, board games to check out from the Lodge, and lots of space to play! Please keep the kiddos supervised, especially by the river.
