It all started when Kaley was home from FSU for the summer before senior year. We took Lauren and Andrea's parents' boat out on the lake to the famous "bird island" and TJ brought his boat with Tyler and some of his other guys where we all met up. The girls were pushing Kaley through the water into TJ's float (everyone thought we would go together perfectly, so the match making started before we even met) we met right there and the connection was instant, on the island that we spend a lot of time together at to this day. We left the lake to go to Tijuana Flats for dinner- what a foreshadowing into one of our favorite restaurants! After Tijuana flats, we went to Cowboys- a popular country bar, and we talked and danced all night, and had our first kiss while dancing to "Tennessee Whiskey" Our first date was at Urban Flats for dinner in downtown Winter Garden, and we got a drink at this new rooftop bar called "The Whole Enchilada" after (first time of many) We continued to talk and date throughout the summer until Kaley had to go back to FSU to finish her last semester. We lived our lives independently, but talked non-stop. Kaley moved back home after the semester for her Orlando internship, and the relationship took the next step One April day, Kaley found an AussieDoodle puppy for sale on Instagram in Tennessee while TJ was playing in a softball game. By the time he got home, Kaley had plans to leave the next day to go get her (TJ happily agreed to come). They drove there to pick her up and immediately knew she was the one and her name was to be "Lilah Rose" without question - "Lilac" was her breeder name so it was only fitting. They brought her back home and she instantly became their pride and joy. We love to be on the water or boat in our free time. One of our favorite places to visit is Treasure Island beach in FL. TJ planned the proposal on the beach (with the help of Kelsey and Kiana). Kaley is very intuitive, so it was hard for TJ to keep it a secret. Right before the proposal, TJ went to the bathroom at dinner and was in there for a while. Kaley and the waitress were worried about him, but turns out he was on the phone with the insurance company adding the ring, as he had forgotten to do so beforehand! We walked down to the beach where he had set up letters and flowers with music, it was beautiful! We celebrated and then went back home to a surprise engagement celebration with friends and family and we partied the night away. We have been through so much together and can't wait for the rest of our story!
