Caitlin and Kaleb met in marching band sophomore year of high school. However; Kaleb claims that he noticed Caitlin and thought she was cute on her first day of school at Bushland towards the end of their freshman year. Caitlin asked Kaleb to go on their first date February 14, 2011 then Kaleb came to Caitlin's locker to "make it official" (his exact words) on February 21, 2011. Now, they can't wait to "make it official" on their wedding day!

They have known for a few years that they wanted to get married, it was just a matter of waiting for the right time. In July 2017, Kaleb moved across Texas for a mechanical engineering internship. Through months of long-distance, the numerous trips to visit each other kept their relationship strong. Thanks to Kaleb's internship, he finally saved enough money to buy the perfect ring. After receiving countless ring pictures, Kaleb went to pick it out in November of 2017. On December 14, Kaleb drove to Lubbock to attend Caitlin's work Christmas party. Kaleb received the award for most miles traveled to support their significant other that night. Following his award, Kaleb helped present the next award to Caitlin; the award for the person who was most recently officially engaged. He proposed and Caitlin couldn't contain her tears from pure happiness.

Relationships aren't easy. They bring tears and heartache but also love and laughter. Caitlin and Kaleb have experienced exactly that. They have had plenty of hard times in their relationship from long distance to lack of sleep from doing all-nighters for school. They've made it through all of them. More importantly than the struggles, they have also triumphed through many life events together. They have celebrated many graduations and moved in together. Caitlin and Kaleb have each gotten their first big kid job and traveled to many states. Their life together has brought many new adventures that they have loved going on.
