Mario and Kaja first met at their friend Robin's house (remember her name cause she comes back later). Kaja saw Mario and knew immediately that they were never going to be together. Mario knew immediately that Kaja was very good looking and he didn't have a chance. Kaja got Mario's number because she had a microwave in the back of her car and Mario, having just moved to LA, needed a microwave. The next few weeks they saw each other occasionally, Mario went to Kaja's stand-up show, Kaja, who thought Mario's name was Stanton, went to his office to drop off the microwave. FINALLY destiny got board and decided to step in - this took the form of the Occidental Holiday Party. Kaja would always go as Robin's plus one and Mario worked at Occidental so duhhh he was gonna be there. And since you know either Mario or Kaja you know they love to dance and that is exactly what drew Kaja to Mario. He was the best dancer in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD and she fell in love with him right then and there.

Because Mario and Kaja are both Aquarius's (Aquari?) they are super weirdos who dance to the beat of their own drum and are super annoying. Although they would describe themselves as super cute and fun. All that is to say in order for them to be officially engaged they decided they both had to propose to each other. The idea behind each proposal was that nobody is a mind reader so the proposal that you would want you give to your partner. Kaja proposed first because "when ya know ya know" Kaja did a huge scavenger hunt that included his friends and family both live and via recorded video. It led them all over highland park using drake lyrics and puzzle pieces to their favorite spots. It ended at Occidental college where she had her friends recreate the Occidental Holiday party. Kaja pretended to win the raffle and in winning Mario really won because she proposed to him. IT WAS MAGICAL. Mario proposed about three months later. He tricked Kaja by telling her they were celebrating Robin's birthday and going on a hike with friends to Fiji (the highest place on Occidental's campus). When they got their Kaja started seeing people she knew, like her brother and instead of thinking something was up she thought "wow, why is Knengi here for Robin's birthday" CUE the music. Mario had a whole dance planned and he danced and danced and danced. Kaja tried to join him at one point and he was like "shhhhh, no" He was full peacocking. It was beautiful. Mario asked in Kaja would dance with him for the rest of her life and duhhhh she said yes. IT WAS MAGICAL TIMES TWO. They went back to the Admissions office backyard and partied with their friends. And so it was that Mario and Kaja became engaged or as they like to say "married in their hearts"
