They say to expect the unexpected, but while wedding planning we didn't expect a global pandemic! Due to this unforeseen tragedy, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our original wedding plans and move forward with having an intimate ceremony with our immediate family and closest friends. We have moved the ceremony to Salt Lake City where we live and it will take place at Randy's parent's home. We are heartbroken that we can't celebrate with each and every one of you, but still invite you to be part of our special day virtually! Please keep up to date on our wedding website for details on the live streaming of our ceremony and vows. Please reach out with any other questions that you might have! Thank you so much for all of your love and support during this time!
In 2015, Randy was a student at The University of Utah and I at Westminster college. We had crossed paths a few times, but in July of that summer we were introduced at a mutual friends house. We were instantly drawn to each other that night and later that week we went on our first date to a Bee's baseball game. We spent the rest of the summer completely obsessed with each other!
We had an amazing opportunity to travel to the beautiful island of Bimini in the Bahamas Fall 2018 to attend a basketball tournament. On the first night we went down to the beach just before sunset. The water and the sky could not have been more beautiful! Randy slowly stopped, held my hand and started saying the sweetest things that I honestly can't remember! I may have blacked out for a minute... but I couldn't have been more excited to say yes!! We spent the rest of the week celebrating, sharing the news with our friends and family, lounging by the beach, and of course watching UAB kick some ass in the tournament. It was such a special trip and one of the best moments of my life!
A lot has happened since summer 2015! We supported each other through our last year of college, graduated and prepared to start new jobs! We celebrated our milestone in beautiful Maui, Hawaii. Shortly after, we added a sweet fluffy boy named Jasper to our family and gained a huge piece of our heart! We spent the next two years in Orem, UT where Randy coached strength and conditioning for Men's Basketball at Utah Valley University and I began my nursing career at Intermountain Medical Center. During those years we gained amazing friends and experiences. We also added a little brother for Jasper, a spunky little poodle name Dexter. We have loved watching them grow and learn to love each other (most of the time). In the spring of 2018 we were given the opportunity to relocate to Birmingham, Alabama. Randy began working for the Women's basketball team at the University of Alabama Birmingham. I spent the year at an amazing pediatric hospital, Children's of Alabama, working with all ages of pediatric critical care patients. We also traveled to some amazing places! It was truly a dream come true to make a visit to Greece and later that year we had pretty magical time in the Bahamas, where we came back engaged!. Our adventure in the South came to an end Spring 2019 and we could not have been more thrilled to return back to Utah!
