We decided on forever

The two of us met through… Tinder. Yes, Tinder. It all started when two people swiped right on each other and sparked an interest. Shortly after, Garrett invited me to come over to his house to get to know each other and meet his new puppy, Pepper. So, naturally, I accepted his invitation to come hang out. We spent hours talking, laughing and playing with Pepper on the floor of his livingroom. It was 2am and we finally realized what time it was and I headed home. Ever since then, it’s been us, the dogs, (and roommates along the way).

It was June 2020 when Garrett told me he made plans to go Father’s day shopping with his mom and sister. Little did I know, he was buying my engagement ring. Later, around 4th of July, Garrett entered us in a giveaway for a couples photo shoot on Facebook. I thought “theres no way we are going to win.” But, we did! We planned out the photo shoot to be a couple weeks later in August and at Mount Scott. It started out as just photos in various spots and then the photographer said she wanted a couple of shots up on the mountain. The photographer had me look her way while Garrett was behind me. I turned around and there he was on one knee. Garrett and the photographer had planned all of this out! The giveaway on Facebook was all set-up so that I wouldnt get suspicious. It was the best day ever and at the end of the night, we celebrated with friends and family.
