FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest", then yes, and if not we would prefer that just you attend. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we had to make some adjustments to our guest list to ensure that we have invited the appropriate number of people given the state guidelines. We appreciate everyone's support and understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Family", then absolutely! Again, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we unfortunately had to make some adjustments when planning to ensure that we have invited the appropriate number of people given the state guidelines. We again really appreciate everyone's understanding in these unusual and unprecedented times!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Business casual/cocktail attire is recommended, however we want everyone to be comfortable! We strongly encourage everyone to wear flat shoes as the terrain at the summit is rocky and uneven, as well as a wrap, cardigan, or jacket as it will be cooler at the summit and in the evening.

Question

Where is the best place to stay at Jay?

Answer

Hotel Jay and Tram Haus are the closest to all weekend festivities and are also our favorite places to stay. However, other lodging on the property is just a quick shuttle or drive away!

Question

How do I get to the summit for the ceremony?

Answer

You can find more details about this under the "schedule" tab, and signage will be provided on property as well to ensure that everyone knows where to be!

Question

If the weather is bad, will the ceremony still be at the summit?

Answer

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony may need to be moved to the barn at the base of the mountain (directly next to the tent where the reception will occur). If necessary, the decision to move the ceremony will be made by the Jay Peak staff as soon as possible. There will be communication about this to everyone in many forms, so no need to fret as you will be informed promptly should this change need to occur!

Question

How long is the tram ride to the summit?

Answer

The tram ride to the summit is approximately 10 - 15 minutes, so you'll be there before you know it! We hope that you all enjoy the beautiful views surrounding you on your way to and from the ceremony!

For all the days along the way
