FAQs

Question

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Inside! The ceremony will be held in the sanctuary of a small church, and the reception will be held in the fellowship hall. There will be plenty of room outside and in the fellowship hall after the ceremony for little ones to stretch their legs and move around!

Question

Will there be food provided at the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be dinner provided at the reception. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join!

Question

Will there be dancing at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Bring your dancing shoes! We are preparing a line up of songs to dance along to on our wedding day from jazz to classic love music to country. We're going to have a celebration, and we invite everyone to loosen up and snag a dance partner for a romantic evening. If you don't have a partner, you're still invited to dance, laugh, and take only a few breaks to catch your breath!

Question

What is the dress code for this event?

Answer

The wedding is in May and is spring themed with pastel colors. Your attire does NOT have to match the pastel emphasis, however, light (think Spring) colors are preferred as this will do better for photos. Consider wearing something similar to what you would wear to a nice Sunday morning service. As always whatever you are most comfortable with! We want ALL who have been invited to our wedding to come with NO confusion or overt concern about their attire. This is a special day of celebration, and we are more concerned with your presence than your dress!

Question

Is this wedding in the country?

Answer

Yes! And we're glad you asked! If you are not used to driving in the country, you will find that it may be a bit more intimidating. It should be. The roads are tight, curvy, and some drop offs are steep. This is why we ask you to please budget time in order to drive slowly. Your maps may tell you that you are only 30 minutes away from the church. But it is recommended that you should budget more time in order to ensure you have enough time to drive slowly. Driving slowly will allow you to feel more relaxed and careful as you take curves and hills, and it will also allow you to enjoy the drive. The church where the wedding is set to be held is located deep in the heart of gorgeous Western Kentucky. The roads are just as beautiful as they are dangerous. Assume all roads are two-way roads. As we always say, "Y'all drive safe, and watch for deer!"

Question

Comments on Navigating the Registry

Answer

First of all, we are extremely grateful to anyone who gives towards our future home. It is so helpful to us. Thank you! That said-there is absolutely no requirement to give. Truly, we are grateful for anything we may receive and count it as a blessing! We wanted to note that the registry is available directly on this website, however, since most of our registry items are also available on our Amazon Registry, we would encourage anyone who would like to purchase a gift for us to visit our registry on Amazon. It is easier to navigate and also displays our "Most Wanted" items to help you know which items we prioritize. https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/gordonwedding2024
