Best Man
The honorary Best Man, the eldest brother, and best friend. Derick and Tyler were naturally opposite of each other but some how very much alike. Derick brought out the best in Tyler to where he wouldn’t take himself so seriously and actually enjoy himself. His smile and laugh were infectious. There is no doubt that if Derick could be at the wedding, he’d be the life of the party. We continue to miss and love him everyday and we will celebrate him always.

The family favorite, the baby sister, the all encompassing astrologist. She’s the funnier, prettier, more interesting sister of Kaitlyn. She works for BMC and can market colon cancer screenings better than any other bitch. Will trade tarot card readings for weed.
Stephen
Best Man
Brother to the groom and single man looking for romantic dinners and casual walks on the beach. Stephen may just be the only one in the group with his head on straight…that is until he gets a beer in his hand and the shirt becomes unbuttoned. Once this happens you’ll realize that Stephen the plastics engineer has departed and Vacation Steve is now on sight.

The eldest Diethelm sibling, Mark grew up a 13 year old boy surrounded by two very vocal and mildly irritating little sisters. He’s an architect in Boston (blessed by the King of Thailand) and emphatic lover of cats, with humor as dry as the radiated air in my 500 sq foot dorm room in college. He’s been to every restaurant in the city and is A1 when it comes to taste and recommendations.
Hannah

Little sis of the groom, Hanni graduated last year with her BS in bio and is currently in nursing school (god speed). She loves to try and tell jokes, much to the dismay of her friends and family. Fun fact: Kait and Hannah met long before Tyler and Kait met; Kait was a high school cheer coach for Hannah’s fourth grade squad and it must be said that Hannah was simply obsessed… and still is.
Josh and Jonah

Josh (Dirty B) Belendez and Jonah (J-bear) Reeves may give off Broke Back Mountain vibes but it’s more of mutually beneficial bromance. These two degenerates met Tyler in the Army, frequent trips to Oak Island and late nights at the bar proved to Tyler that he should lose hope in humanity. For a better understanding pay close attention to them on the dance floor.

Sister in law to Kait, wife to Mark, another Kate in the Diethelm family was of course the perfect addition. She’s lived in Hawaii, Chicago, Seattle, and Boston, can definitely drink more than you, and loves to run marathons so you know she’s a bit off kilter.

Shannon is an emo girl, certified troll, and Kait’s best friend of over a decade! They fell in best friend love bonding over their sad-girl energy and eccentric taste in the lives of D-List celebrities. She has two full time careers: behavior analyst and Waka Flocka super fan.
Cody

Tyler and Cody showed up to C Co 1-325 around the same time and became best friends pretty quickly. After Iraq they became roommates and Tyler was forced to put up with Shaw’s antics. Of all the tools, Cody Shaw is the biggest. You’d think this seasoned infantry Staff Sergeant wouldn’t be into editing his pictures, but the truth is he’s never met a filter he didn’t like. Forced candids and making his eyes more blue are his red flags.

Christina and Kait met as roommates in college and Christina was immediately adopted into the family the third daughter. She’s a sonographer at BMC but alternatively comes from a rural town in upstate NY where bring your tractor to school day was a yearly event, (seriously). She is simultaneously down to fight, and chill on the couch with the dogs whilst watching Jersey Shore.
Jessica

Air Force lieutenant, actuary, certified sky diver, and mother, Jess has lived everywhere and done everything. She has been the cool older sister to Kait ever since middle school, which is the last known record of Jessica growing.
Joe

Joe and Tyler met when they were 18. They went through basic training and airborne school together before getting stationed at Fort Bragg in the same company. By far Fonz is the worst influence on the friend group. Thanks to Fonz, Tyler and the rest of the guys have spent untold amounts of money at Bubba’s and Paddy’s. You’ll notice a constant look of confusion on his face, don’t worry that’s just his baseline.

She’s gorgeous and trendy, she’s Alyssa’s twin, but she’s actually Jessica’s sister. Nikki and Kait grew up together between the south shore of Massachusetts, the coast of North Carolina, and Florida with their moms as best friends. She’s a Scorpio sun and a Gemini rising so that should tell you everything you need to know.

Gio stands a remarkable 5 foot 3 inches off the ground. This giant resemblances not only a panda bear, but also a notorious dictator out of North Korea. What he lacks in height, he makes up for in strength. Due to his blessed short range of motion Gio shocks observers in the gym.

The brides younger cousin, Emma, is the baby of the wedding party. Growing up together, Kait and Emma are essentially the same human, both by way of looks and mental illness. She loves writing, dark humor, and hates her twin. Ask her about her party trick if you’re into the macabre.
Zack

Zack is 1 of 2 fathers in the group. Although he’s the newest, he’s been living this role his whole life. In bed by 8:30 and a walking dad joke of the day book, this guy is all meat no potatoes. Zack’s in the elevator business so naturally he experiences a lot of ups and downs, much like his golf game. Other than his long drive, the most consistent part is his wedge throw to which he holds the record at several North Carolina golf courses.

Another pharmacist, our Jillybean here rounds out the quad of college besties/roommates. Her two loves may just be dancing and CVS. She may be a rat but she’s definitely smarter than you, and if you aren’t cautious, she might make you fall in love with her. But be careful, she’s from New Jersey…

Chris and Kait met on Chris’ 10th birthday some years ago and together experienced the euphoria of listening to Lady Gaga’s debut album for the first time together on the bus to middle school. If you ask the vagrant people of Boston, Chris has great hair and is stunningly beautiful…. But I would describe Chris as an artist, a champion of the bottle girls, and you can always count on him to ask you at the end of the night………. “can I hit ur vape.”
Tom

Ever seen Wedding Crashers and wonder how Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn feel so comfortable at a strangers wedding? Well Tom would fit right in with them. Tom’s Gumby looking ass started dating Hannah about a year and a half ago, which is how Tyler met him. The mullet should be enough for anyone to know that Tom likes to have a good time. More often than not when Kait and Tyler see Tom he’s carrying a beer, this includes first thing in the morning with his breakfast. He can talk to absolutely anyone and within an hour they already have inside jokes. There is absolutely no doubt that Tom will leave this wedding having made at least 10 new friends.

Wes is the other dad in the group, he’s also the oldest. Wes was the platoon sergeant for Tyler and most of the C Co guys. The first time they met, Wes made Tyler do push-ups for entertainment…this continued for 4 years whenever Wes got bored. As a diehard Auburn fan, you’ll never see Wes without Tigers gear. Although Wes has had a successful 20+ year Army career, his most profitable business is taking Zack’s money on the golf course.
