we're getting married!!

We first met at church roughly 3 years before we started dating, although for the next couple years after meeting we were only acquaintances. We started getting closer in early spring of 2019 while we were both on a mission trip in Mexico with our church group. Spring forward to mid summer that same year and we started seeing a bit more of each other, often times just by coincidence but through that we started talking more and eventually became really good friends! September rolls around and Kaden decided he wanted to make a move and he kissed Emma one night while watching Friends. On September 3, 2019, Kaden officially asked Emma out for the first time. (If you ask Emma, she'll say that he said "will you go out with me?" but if you ask Kaden, he'll say that he said "will you be my girlfriend?" so the mystery remains...) We spent the majority of our first year eating Wendy's Frostys, In-N-Out, and hanging out with Kaden's friends. Kaden was in his senior year of high school (17) and Emma was in her sophomore year (15). Then the time quickly came by for Kaden to leave for college. We were one month short of our 1 year anniversary! He went off to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where he chose to study Finance and minor in Economics. For the next three years we battled the ups and downs of a long distance relationship, spending thousands of dollars on flights and spending dozens of hours a month on the phone to maintain a healthy relationship. As truly difficult as it has been for the both of us, we wouldn't change a thing because it has made our relationship stronger and happier in the end! On September 15, 2023, Kaden secretly flew into Reno to surprise Emma with a Lake Tahoe sunset proposal. Emma cried. A lot. And when he popped the question, Emma's answer through many happy tears was "OBVIOUSLY, YES!". We can't wait to tie the knot on June 1st, and we hope to see you there to celebrate!

This love story begins with a nerdy, insecure sophomore in high school that had a major crush on a cute, feisty blonde that wanted nothing to do with him. Throughout high school the crush continued to grow and would culminate into sheer love for the girl in his senior year. It wasn't until the girl spent a considerable amount of time with the boy that she finally figured out that he was "alright" and was actually fun to be around. The boy would take the girl and his sister out to In-n-Out, as this was her favorite food to eat, simply to spend all the possible time he could with her. He continuously sacrificed his gas money to make attempts to impress her with his driving skills. It wasn't until the boy overcame his insecurities that he finally decided to kiss the girl on one fateful night. Immediately the sparks flew and she instantly fell in love with the boy, succumbing to his impeccable charm and wit. It has been over four years since that night that has spring boarded the couple into a whirlwind of love and romance. Which is coming to a peak as the couple looks to now say "I do" for the rest of their lives.
