How We Met

Well, we can't actually remember the first time we met. Middle school is so fraught with little moments that seem important, that we did not take note of the most momentous.

Our Engagement

Long Distance Means Long Engagement

As of 8/5/2023, we will have been together for approximately 3,936 days. That's 10 years. Also by then, we will have been engaged for 1,684 days. Christmas morning 2018 was like usual. Colin and Kacie had present unwrapping at the Wrean house, then Colin ran home to start unwrapping with his family while Kacie had brunch with her family. Kacie made it to the Luzzi household to finish unwrapping and then Colin suggested they squeeze in a walk before Luzzi family brunch. Now, it's hard to say how her suspicions arose, but Kacie tried to go with the flow and not ruin a possible surprise. Because they began dating by walking at Cat Rock, a local conservation area, they wandered in that direction. When they got to the top, Kacie found an envelope addressed to her. Inside was a romantic letter that ended with Kacie crying and Colin down on one knee proposing. Kacie said YES! Kacie also did not know that her intrepid sister and their permanent relationship sidekick was up a tree nearby trying to get pictures of the proposal. Since the tree did not have a good vantage, they actually ended up re-enacting it all again so she could take pictures for everyone to cherish. (Thanks, Ashy!) We returned home to have a toast and Christmas dinner with both of our families together and forever continued to unfold!
