In the vibrant heart of New York City, the 2019 marathon brought together two kindred spirits: Jake, the meticulous accountant, and Vic, the compassionate nurse. Instead of running the race, they found themselves on the sidelines, cheering on friends, family and strangers alike, drinks in hand as they soaked in the electric atmosphere. Their connection was immediate, sparked by shared laughter and a love for life's simple pleasures. As they walked and talked to the rhythm of the city Jake and Vic discovered a bond that transcended their busy lives. In the weeks that followed the couple got to know each other and learned about each others lives. This was not the moment they decided they would be together, instead they went their separate ways. The midst of the COVID pandemic and their city lives dissolving for 2020 they lost contact besides for a few direct messages on social media. In the spring of 2021, Victoria could not stop thinking about that kind man who made her feel like the most special and beautiful person. So she did what anyone would do, she slid into Jake’s snapchat DM’s. They went on their second first date to play trivia in the lower east side of Manhattan where they lost the game terribly but won over each other’s hearts. In the weeks that followed, they became inseparable, weaving in and out of each other's lives with effortless grace. They both moved home to their parents homes in New Jersey and Long Island but managed to spend 30 hours during the week facetiming and driving hours to see each other on the weekends. In the fall they found themselves back in separate apartments where they embraced the vibrant tapestry of New York City, savoring each moment as if it were their last. From lazy Sunday hangouts to impromptu dance parties in their favorite clubs and bars, Jake and Vic found joy in the little things, their love growing stronger with each passing day. Their relationship was built on a foundation of friendship and mutual respect, grounded in a shared love for family and friends. They spent weekends exploring the city with loved ones, picnicking in Central Park, cooking a variety of cuisines at home and watching the sunset over the Hudson River. Dot quickly became the center of their world, filling their days with laughter and love as they watched her scamper around their Upper West Side apartment. As their love story continued to unfold, Jake and Vic began to dream of their future together. They talked about traveling the world, exploring new cultures and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
