Travel Note
October is a busy time of the year in New Orleans. Football season is in full swing, it's wedding season (the weather is best in October), and it will be Columbus Day weekend. I recommend booking as early as possible! Just because the ceremony/reception is happening in the French Quarter doesn't mean you HAVE to stay there. While the FQ is great, and centrally located, most accommodations in the Central Business District, Warehouse District (across Canal Street from the French Quarter), and Marigny (across Esplanade Ave from the French Quarter) are within 20 minutes (walking), or 10 minutes (driving) of Brennan's. All of these areas (including the French Quarter) have great options for airbnbs and hotels, so no need to worry about widening your search. I DO NOT RECOMMEND staying on Bourbon street (it is very loud all the time).
House Or Rental
AirBNB is going to be the more affordable option for staying in New Orleans, and booking far in advance. There are numerous options in and around the French Quarter. If you have never used AirBNB before, use this link for $40 off your first stay: https://www.airbnb.com/c/kelliott100

HotelTonight is an app that lets you book last minute hotel rooms at very discounted rates. The rates for hotels are always lowest through this app, however you can't book until 3 months before your arrival date. You are not able to pick your room (they sell whatever inventory hasn't booked), and all bookings are final. But the hotels are curated, and you can find incredible deals. I have used it many times, and I have never been disappointed in my room! If you're booking last minute, I strongly suggest checking HotelTonight. Or, if you book a room that you are able to cancel, check HotelTonight 3 months before your arrival date to see if you can find a better rate. You can download the app, and get $50 towards your next stay (after your first booking) via this link: https://txt.htltn.com/PmiNvcqwnT

We will be staying at the NOPSI. We stayed there in April and loved it: spacious rooms, comfy beds, huge bathrooms, and nice people. It's located in the Central Business District, which is about a 15-20 minute walk to Brennan's. They also have good deals: a standard room is roughly $208/night, and if you call them directly, they may have an offer that isn't posted on the website (stay 2 nights, get the 3rd free, even through the weekend). If you book there say that you're coming for Kelsey Elliott's wedding!
