We live in NYC where online dating is a roll of a dice, you may end up on a very bad date or taking someone’s last name, thankfully ours was the latter. In the winter of 2019, we were both looking to have someone to keep us warm and used the app Hinge to chat for a couple weeks, until someone (Portia), went ghost in 2020. JT, being the kind gentlemen he is, sent a message on the app in March 2020 asking, "how are you holding up during this pandemic?" but Portia took a long hiatus from the app. It wasn't until January of 2021 that she replied, "you mean this pandemic?" hahaha! That funny comeback sparked conversations that led from the app to text to Facetime then an in-person date on February 13, 2021. While dating, it was apparent that the two were fully committed to loving one another. Three years and one day later the two decided to elope and become one, on a frigid winter day at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. On this day, it was just God and the two of us, we pray that you can see some of our journey through this site but most importantly be a part of the story we are creating after saying yes to forever.
