Justin Keith Perez proposed to Josias Emmanuel Cosme on Valentine's Day 2019 at Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City. The couple arrived at the restaurant and were offered an amazing table with a view of NYC Skyline. The night was perfect; there was live music and an amazing menu. After a delicious dinner (which included lobster, and champaign of course!) the server returned with the dessert menu- Josias ordered fondu for two. The dessert took longer than expected to come out which made Justin unusually nervous. He tried to play it cool and started talking about the day and asking Josias what he thought about the food. Dessert was served complete with a "Happily Ever After" pin from Disney that Justin had delivered to the restaurant the night before. Justin started talking nervously again about the ups and downs he and Josias had been through, and how during their best and worst moments they still supported each other, learning and growing every day. Justin got on one knee, presented a handsome white gold ring and asked Josias “Will you marry me?” Josias was quick to reply with “oh no not here, I’m gonna cry!” Josias finally said yes! Justin, still feeling a bit nervous, told Josias, "then take the ring and put it on!" Two more glasses of Champaign were poured to celebrate! To commemorate the evening they took photos outside the restaurant against the stunning NYC skyline. (You can view them in the photo tab.) Little did Josias know, the surprises were not over. As Justin and Josias arrived home they were greeted by friends and family to celebrate this memorable event. Justin had been planning the proposal since the end of 2018 and even asked Josias' Family for his hand in marriage during a trip to Mexico in January! We are so excited to take this next step together, and hope to have all of our friends and family join us to celebrate!
