Downhill Skiing / Snowboarding
Crested Butte is home to the largest expanse of extreme terrain in the west, though it is also accessible to beginners who want to hang out on the bunny hills! From town, you can take free shuttles that come every 15 minutes. Once you're up the hill, we recommend renting gear from Flatiron Sports, right at the base of the mountain.
Nordic Skiing
For those who aren't into downhill skiing - Crested Butte has some of the best nordic skiing trails in the west! (It's kind of like riding a NordicTrack - but with better views.) You can rent skis and boots in town, and explore beautiful trails along lakes and in between mountains. A beginner can pick this up in less than 30 minutes. Promise!

The best coffee in town (there's one on the mountain, too!) We recommend the dirty spicy chai.
Cat Skiing on Irwin Mountain
For advanced skiers or those who are looking for serious adventure - join us on giant cats Friday or Saturday up to Irwin Mountain, which we'll have all to ourselves.
