The day was May 27th, 2017. Julissa and her dad had been talking about looking for a new puppy for a while now, and so they decided to take a look online and see what was out there. Craigslist had the most listings for available puppies for sale, and before long Julissa found the cutest puppy she’d ever seen. Knowing that she couldn’t wait for someone else to snatch him up, she found the contact information and texted the person selling them immediately.   After a few, brief messages back and forth, they made plans to see the puppies that day. Julissa and her dad made their way over to a house. They were greeted by an older man, who thought he was the one selling the puppies. He said that was his son, and he went inside to call him to come out. After waiting for a few moments, Julissa turned at the sound of the door opening. Stepping out was a young man named Anthony.   He came over and greeted them, glancing over in Julissa’s direction more than once while he talked about the puppies and brought them back to the pen. Julissa was nervous, and so was he. It was clear there was an attraction on both sides, the way they kept smiling over at one another, but they kept their interaction professional. For now.     As she looked at the puppies, trying to make a decision on which one she liked the most, one of them came over and started to lick her feet through her open-toed sandals.   “I guess puppies love feet,” she told him, reaching down to pick up the little pup.   Anthony laughed. The way he smiled at her gave her butterflies in her stomach.   After deciding that this puppy was the one for her, she told Anthony they would need to go to the bank to get money, but they’d be back that day. He looked a little disappointed as if he thought he would never see her again.   After they left, Julissa and her dad drove to the bank. Once they had gotten the cash, they went straight back to Anthony’s house. For the second time that day, Anthony looked completely surprised that they had returned. After everything was said and done, and the puppy was on its way to its new home, Anthony stopped Julissa before she left.   “If you have any questions, that number you texted is mine. Anything at all, don’t hesitate to ask.”   Julissa knew then and there he wasn’t just talking about puppy questions. From that day on, they began to text. It wasn’t too long before they scheduled their very first date, and their second, and so on. And now, the rest is history!
