During a close game of darts near the dawn of our relationship, Juliet fumbled her words in what could have been a catastrophe during those fragile early days. Referring to Nick, when she meant to say "my darts partner," she instead said "my life partner!" Instantly turning rosey red, she looked at Nick expecting the worst but found him laughing it off, nothing to worry about. A bit forward perhaps, but he thought it was cute. Maybe we knew by then, maybe we didn't, but Juliet turned out to be a seer that day because now we're getting married! We met almost six years ago, instantly bonding over our shared love for Cleveland baseball, the Gospel of Springsteen, dive bars, art and creativity, and perhaps most of all, our appreciation for friends and family. Since then, we've been inseparable best friends, a union of partners in the easiest sense but respectful of the other's self without limits. We enjoy more than anything to dream big plans, brag about each other's achievements, see our friends, travel to cities, wine and dine, go to concerts, make our home, snuggle our cats, and laugh big laughs. We're firm believers that the most meaningful things in life are often the smallest; it's not about the big gestures or lovely words but the simple act of being there and knowing you're a part of something special. We've found that in our love for one another. Thank you for joining us to celebrate this little life we're building, together. We wouldn't have it any other way. While we may be Clevelanders at heart (Go Browns!), Columbus is our beloved adopted home. It's where we've gone to school, met some of our closest friends, found our little alley cat Remy, slogged through a pandemic, and moved in together. If you're coming from out of town, we can't wait for you to experience all our city has to offer.

While we have a lot of things in common, our love of music and remarkably similar tastes may take the cake. We've spent countless nights together either chatting away or in total silence (both are fine by us) with a glass of wine and an album turned up loud. The indie rock band The National is a common character as one our absolute favorites. Sleep Well Beast, their seventh album, was released on September 8th, 2017. We've considered our anniversary to be September 12th, 2017, making this album the soundtrack to us falling in love. When Nick saw that the band was playing at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater near Denver, CO on September 12th, 2022 - five years to the day since we started dating - he knew it was too good to be true. A short hike with friends before the show proved the perfect place to pop the question.
