Celebrated by Thoreau, Melville, and others, Mount Greylock the highest point in Massachusetts at 3,489 feet. Walk by foot or drive up. You can stop in at Bascom Lodge for a drink at the top.
The Appalachian Trail is a short walk away from Tourists. Hike a portion or take a photo by the sign so people think you walked it ;)
2.2 mile out-and-back trail to a waterfall. While not as famous as the AT, it sure is beautiful.
