We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Although we first became friends in early 2021 during our Space Force training class, we began dating while deployed together in Europe. Separated by a 12 hour shift schedule, we took any and every opportunity we could to spend time together. Our first date was picking up Twix ice cream bars from a local gas station!

Our love grew as we traveled together during off days from work, spending hours in the car talking, exploring foreign cities... and Julie teaching Matt how to drive a manual car. On a day off from work, Matt asked Julie to be his girlfriend while visiting the beach. She said yes immediately!

Matt proposed to Julie on top of Mt. Belford (one of the 58 14,000+ ft mountains in Colorado). It was only fitting that this happened at 6:00 AM, halfway up mountain. Matt was nervous but knew the view would be phenomenal.

Matt and Julie are both Captains in the U.S. Space Force and lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado before moving to Hermosa Beach, California since the summer of 2024 to work at Los Angeles Air Force Base.
